This is one of my last images but I'm not quite pleased with it yet. How can I improve it? Any ideas?

hmmm... all the elements are looking very nice. i think one problem is the focus. you might want to try to crop or rotate the scene so there is less landscape and the figures take up more of the picture space. (it would be interesting, for example, to see the view from the right, looking down the lady's body and seeing the guy past the sword.) if you like this setup, the composition still has some focal problems. the sword, for example, is pointing out of the picture, leading our eye off to... the links at the right ;) nothing on the man points towards the lady... try to create some kind of circular path for the eye to follow around between the guy and the lady. if is left hand were pointing down towards the water, for example, that would lead the eye there. i would also see how it looks if there was that patch of empty sky behind the man instead of the mountain. and the sky... i would like the sky to be more dramatic and active looking to go with the mood of the scene. the sky is looking all bright and ordinary while the scene is kinda mysterious and magical. ya know? :) did that help?

It's looking pretty good so far. Here are some things that could help: I'd put some circular ripples around the arms of "The Lady of the Lake". It needs a little bit of interaction between her and the water. With Merlin, his robe seems to clash to much with his hair. It might help to subdue it some. Also, it seems to be a bit too bright. You might concider adding some more atmosperic effects, and maybe grey down the lighting. But, overall it's a great composition! Run with it!!! I really like the head of Merlin's staff. It reminds me of the one used in Excaliber.Cool.Did you make it?

Yes Hob, I made it using the head of akisiel's dragon like I did with the sword (you can find the sword at the Props Guild). Merlin does not have any hair showing. It's sort of a metallic cap over his head like in the movie "Excalibur". Thank you both for ideas, the sky is really a weakness in this set and I'm really going to change it. Bloodsong: your ideas about composition are very good proving what I already knew: you're good! I'm really just a newbie in this... Thank you!
