HI I recently purchased the Ponytail Collection From DAZ. But I do not have the skills to make it work for me. I do not know how to make the hair stay on the head through-out the posing process. The Hair comes in as a Figure. not an Object. Is this a difficult process on learning how to make hair that is a figure work like an object that you can lock? Thanks for any answers to this question Prema

Parent it to the head, and then if you like, do a "lock actor" and that should make it stay. Also, add the hair before doing any posing since it most likely will appear where the head would normally be.

Okay....THe pony is one of the "must haves" in my opinion. Here is how to make it work every time. When you first setup your poser figure....go to figure...and click on inverse kinetics on both the right and left leg. Then, click on any body part on the figure...go to window...joint editor....and hit align...this will position your figure perfectly to take anton's hair. Select the hair out of the figures menu, and, click on the double check mark at the bottom...this will stop your vicki from disappearing when the hair comes in. If you have the expansion pack....now is the time to play and get the "style" that you want. Now, click on figure vcpc, under your poser window....hit body parts...select base....go to figure, change parent...and parent it to the head of figure 1(vicki). now, go to object...lock...and you are set...the hair will pose perfectly with your vicki. Hope this made some sense. i do love my expanding pony...it is so very useful.

You need to use Parent Figure in the Figure menu. Just above Conform. Be sure you select Body for the hair, then parent figure to Figure 1's head. That'll keep in in place. I love this hair and use it all the time. Melanie

I always use the base, and it works fine, too. Yup...I use this hair in almost every render...even on mike.

Hi, Thank you all for your help and instructions. I tried the first suggestion so far and it seems to be working. I will try the others also. I seem to be getting it. Maybe now I will buy the expansion pack. Thanks Again. Prema

another option get the hair set the way you want it, then export it as an .obj Once you import it back and parent to the head. Now you can save it to the hair library.

Oh, yeah, I use it on Mike, too. It's so versatile, you can do almost anything with it. I don't know what we would do without Anton. :) Just bought his new hair/beard package and it's incredible! Melanie

I see what you mean about using Anton's Vcpc on Michael. Here are a couple of test renders to illustrate the possibilities. You just have to resize the body to 105% and it fits perfectly. I was getting tired of using same old wedge-cut.

Wow, the next time I want to turn Mike into a drag queen I'll remember that!
