How would you carve an object. Like say a sphere, make it a half sphere. I know it has to do something with negative objects...or something. -Rancid

It is called boolean modelling. You take the object you want to keep and make it positive. Then you make the object you want to carve out of it and make it negative. The you group both of them to get the finished product. There are some really good tutorials that get indepth with boolean modelling here in the tutorials section that could probably explain it very good.
