I am new to 3d art. I have poser, anim8or, and wings. Soon i will be buying rhino and world builder. Now my question is, In poser what the heck is the grouping tool for? And If I wanted to make full armor for my figure, would I need to make a full body morph? and In makeing a full body morph, would I have to export the entire body into anim8or, and then fix the splines or points to make it look how I want, and then export it into poser again? And If i did that wouldn't the entire body end up as an un posable figure? I am most confused. I posted with this a picture of my current figure.I am makeing this by exposting the spacific pieces into anim8or and then fixing them, and then reinserting them. Any help would be appreciated, Elshar@angelfire.com PEace, Elshar

Go to the FAQ and the tutorials links here and look up 'making poser figures' Go to SAMS3D and look at their tutorial on making a poser chest. It's not off topic. If you get that, then you will have answered most of your questions. You will also need to get hold of Roy Riggs 'PHI builder', the link to that is in the FAQ BTW Welcome! regards peejay

The grouping tool can be used for a couple of things. It can limit the morphing effect of a magnet to a selected group. Or it can be used to spawn a new prop from a larger mesh. There may be other functions, but those two leap to mind.
