Subject: Objects that can't take a texture map

Hi folks, I need your help please. I am trying to use a couple of objects imported into poser that will not map a texture to them and I can't figure out why. One of the objects is the popular posable "restraints" (sorry I forgot who the creator is). The restraints come with a multitude of wrists cuffs, neck cuffs etc. For the life of me I can't seem be able to map any texture to them other than the "silver.jpg" supplied. I also have imported another obj a G.I. helmet (author unknown) This is a simple object and I tried to use the UV mapper on it to create a texture for it. It didn't work. I also tried to apply any-old-texture map to it yet it will not render with it in poser. Any clues? Are there some objects that can't render a texture map for some reason? Is there something I am forgetting to do? BTW I can apply a texture to both the restraints and the helmet in Bryce 5.....but not poser. Thanks for your help in advance and thank you to all those who posted the URLS for my post about African-american hair obj's and textures!! Steve

If things have no uvs you cant put textures on them.Only colors.Export from poser as wavefront *obj. load them in uvmapper. let uvmapper create a new uvmap, save the map AND the modell. Import the modell in poser and it should work. use the template in any paintprogram to make your textures.

Make sure the object you are mapping is white also before you apply the map, otherwise the maps might not show.
