Subject: Hey Spike!

Hey Spike: I just noticed that you aplied the relativity law for one of my posts over here. Why did you deleted it, without a warning? That was a brave act. Is the free of speach is relative from the subject who emits the speach? The message I was talking about from my point of view did not violated the TOS, but it seems to me that the TOS are convinient aplied here or at least it has a double crossed meaning one thing is what it writted there and other totally different is the interpretation you do of it, so why bother to writte a TOS and then when it explotes in your head don't aply it? You can delete my posts but you will never be able to say that it was fair. Just FYI (for your information) the message i was talking about is: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12357&Form.ShowMessage=589296 For your attention Thank you. Repectfully protested. That thread was removed because it "DID" break the TOS. "Personal attacks. This includes but is not limited to, destructive, abusive or defamatory communications in any form."

You can't call it work if you love it... Zen Tambour

Well Mr. Spike :) Please delete the messages with personal attacks against me please, and that will be an equal treatment, otherwise you are just acting unfairly. Still Respectfully Protesting Virus

On the other hand, I'm wondering who is judging if something is a violation of the TOS and somethin else is not? What will be the credibility of the admins if they delete post discretionally? I thought there was not more deletations over here. BTW if you want an example here is link: http://www.renderosity.com/messages.ez?ForumID=12357&Form.ShowMessage=587756&Reply=591307#40 Still respectfully protesting.

Why have you deleted my message, whomever you are? There was nothing wrong in asking what I asked!

JeffH ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:15 PM

You recieved a private IM about the subject.

Mehndi ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:24 PM

And you delete it again! This is a thread to Spike, not to you. Spike is the manager of the Mods. I have a right to ask him this question. Stop it Jeff.

JeffH ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:26 PM

I sent a second IM regarding this issue.

Mehndi ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:29 PM

No, all you send is warnings, being a bully. You have not once explained what is wrong with my posts asking Spike blunt questions. Oh duh... I get it. I asked those questions about you. Ok, so explain to us all here and now please, what exactly makes you different than the rest of us, that you get to delete posts that ask hard blunt questions about you, and attempt to bully us into silence? What is wrong with the question I asked? Tell us here.

rcook ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:33 PM

Jeff, you are too close to this situation to handle it professionally. Please defer to another admin.

JeffH ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:37 PM

I'm going out of my way to be professional about it. If you have any influence here, please use it.

rcook ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:42 PM

Influence it which way? I myself would like to know why messages which don't violate the TOS are being deleted? I didn't know member's opinions and questions were being censored on this site because of dislike of the member.

JeffH ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:44 PM

My opinions have nothing to do with the deletions. I'm following the TOS and being more than fair.

Mehndi ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:51 PM

Ok, explain to me then what in my posts has violated the TOS Jeff? I think we are all curious at this point.

rcook ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 1:54 PM

I thought I knew the TOS very well, having been the primary enforcer of it for the last year. Please explain to me what I'm missing here.

I've asked JeffH to distance himself from this thread. Feel free to speak your piece as long as you stay within the TOS guidelines. A good approach is to address behaviors and roles instead of members/individuals. Tim

Mehndi ( ) posted Fri, 01 March 2002 at 2:32 PM

But Tim, it is the individuals I want to know about, and the consequences of their specific behaviour Tim. Not just general theory and management practises. I do have that right to ask, I think? I have waited days now for something to be done, and nothing is done except I am told very sweetly to forget it and focus on how much Russell and I love eachother (and I really did appreciate that, I am not being sarcastic when I say this, it WAS a lovely well meaning sweet message), but that is like telling a rape victim to forget her assault and focus on her husband instead, or a robbery victim to forget what was stolen and focus on what is left, etc ... you understand? What we are all waiting on at this point, and it is alot more than just me, is to see what is going to be done on all this in the end.

Mehndi, As I told you in email, we will take your points into consideration. Hope you will understand if we are move cautiously on this issue. If you have more relevant info, feel free to share it here or in email. Tim

Spike: I will not insist to have undeleted the message you "kindly" delete for the "sake of the community", becuase I asked a public apollogy to Legume and that could be a lack of respect from me, to insist in something that has been worked out by us (Legume and me). But I'm not happy about having an admin like you deleting messages just because according with your very personal and "convinient" interpration of the TOS you thought I was violating it, If you use this criteria is ok for me, but at least do it with a sense of justice, treating everyone equal. Leave the Message deleted please, Im allowing, and I'm giving my writting consent to you, to keep that message as it is (deleted by you), but I hope this could be not the future way of how the admins will "protect" the community. Also I'm allowing you to keep your "convinient" silence about this matter. Thanks for your service to the comunity. Not protesting anymore. Virus

deestilo ( ) posted Sat, 02 March 2002 at 10:24 AM

gee.... TOS has just become a license to kill these days ?

Mehndi ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 4:16 AM

In this case ronknights, the situation is in the reverse of that which you describe. Posts were made by staff that were abusive, and violated the rules here. A coverup then ensued where these messages were deleted, and even attempts to ask what is going to be done about it are deleted as well by the people who did the nasty deed to start with.

Mehndi ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 5:25 AM

I'm not.

Who Watches The Watchmen?

rcook ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 9:12 AM

Apparently no one. There have been no forthcoming explanations, apologies or punishments for this power trip by an admin or the preceding cover-up of private admin information disclosure by a moderator. Some people are just more equal than others I suppose.
