There's a family of peregrine falcons that nest every year at the top of one of the hotels right in downtown Ottawa. As soon as it gets warm and they start to nest, the falcon foundation sets up shop in the government building across the street and you can watch them (they've set up cameras and everything). It's really neat, because they hunt for food right in the area, and sometimes you can see them dive and snatch a pigeon. :P When it's not nesting season, or when the chicks are big enough to go off on their own, the falcons stay in the area. They head out to the experimental farm area of the city (a bit west out of downtown). - darkpen
Arent there times when you wish your camera were a part of your body? Last week I was downtown at the Metreon again crossing a bridge over the street and the sun was setting and the lights from the traffic below were awesome and all I could think was DAMN wheres my camera. And it seems whenever I have my camera, and plenty of film and I'm raring to go I have the worst case of camera block, its like photo constipation or something :P Its been this way for about two weeks now and I've had nothing to post lol. Cant wait to see the pics you come up with when you go exploring.
