Subject: Lighting?

Any tips on lighting, things just never look quite right for me...maybe I am overly picky? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have some free lights in Freestuff you might want to download. Lights in Poser are hellish but here are some tips. -Make the map size 2000 for crisp shadows. -Use 4 evenly scaed lights using grey for a color -Experiment with not using shadows on some lights. -If using colors, try pastels greys instead of bright primary colors. -Istead of one grean light try a blue and a yellow one mixed. Pink and blue istead of purple, etc. Hope this helps. Anton

Experiment using spots instead of omnis. You can play with the range and density much more easily.

If you use a ...

pure RED
pure GREEN
pure BLUE
(the only colors your monitor actually displays)

and space the lights very close together, you can get some pretty realistic lighting effects.

Shadows? ..... now that's another story.

My best answer to lighting is the "Lighting Environment," available at DAZ. I routinely use the different lighting setups there, and very often get compliments on the lighting.
