Well, I have no experience with modeling, but I got truespace 4.3 since two weeks, so I tried to make a mystical object. I know it's not very good, but I'm a beginner, and I do like what I made. :) The rod is actualy coming from a story that I wrote (but never finished) a few years ago. It has a whole history. Maybe one day I can make a better one. :) Rynn

Well, it looks good to me ;) De tex of the metal is great and the position of the camera gives it a very "Special" look. regards Myske.

Nice pic ! Maybe you could improve the look of the material at the top of the rod (make it more ellipsoid) .. Yves

I think it's brilliant.

Thank you everyone. :) I am trying to make a picture with it for the monthly challenge. The rod is seen from further away then, and that makes the top look smoother. I don't know though if I will get it finished in time. Rynn

Very nice Rynn, and I really like the materials you used for it. I'd love to hear the story behind the rod. :)

When I get the picture for the challenge finished I'll tell a bit more about the story. In the mean time I can tell that this rod captures the last rays of Zinthe (Mother Sun) every evening before she goes to sleep, so her strenght stays with the Zinta'u and their People during the night.

Definitely a mystical flavor, and as others have mentioned, that's a great material on the rod. :)

Sounds like a cool story Rynn. :)

Yes, Rynn, the others are right, I like the materials very much and the light is great - and keep on modelling. ;-) Bernie

Keep cool and fight for the right of others
to have a different opinion than you have!
