This is one of a few promotional ideas that have sprung in my head over the last week, but I'm not sure if it's worthwile to pursue further, so I need your opinions if I should do so or just forget... It's been a long time I wish to create a PWFW Members Gallery at the free area for the public to enjoy.. I'll upload the images and make the html pages myself for each one of them.. but just to get enough content , I came up with a CONTEST idea just for fun! :o) So what do you say? Would it be worth the trouble if I'd start a contest of images with the only requirements necessary just the use of any couple of models -in random choice of your own- from the subs area? Why would you bother..you may ask.. Does is sound any more interesting if we say that the winner will be chosen by the rest of members vote, once the contest is over (for total fairness).. and that the winner will get ALL of our DAZ brokering items as a prize, by the time the contest will be over PLUS his/her choice of a clothing/prop or scene item to be modeled ?? :o) Yes or No.. whichever way, just let me know and if the vote in favour is the majority.. I'll just set all official rules and announce around. :o) Now I'm really anxious as to see if this was a bright or really dumb idea..LOL Rena

Sounds like a good idea to me. =) Especially the "choose what you want modelled" part!

You got my vote alright. Maxx :-) (....dang, now I gotta learn how to make a great image real FAST...)

Jcleaver ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 8:30 AM

Sounds interesting. It's probably a good thing you didn't offer to model a character though. I have a doozy that I would choose. LOL.

Oh don't I know it. There are a good two dozen things I would like to have for Michael, and three or four things that my Vicki is missing. ;)

Penguinisto ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 8:38 AM

I gotta tell you - after beginning my subscription Friday, I'd downloaded a TON of stuff (LOL - if I knew you had a couple of swimming pools in there already...) The only thing I can think of for improvement would be to allow more than four items per page when surfing through the models. Otherwise, I have to say that the subscription is well worth the money. PS: Could you do a favor and send an e-mail when you announce contests? My schedule is quirky at times, and I might miss one :) /P

Looks a great idea to me! I would go for blind voting like at 3D arena though..

I think the members gallery is an excellent idea. Would give others the chance to see what's available inside , and also give the members themselves a way to show off their creative imagination. the contest and/or prizes isnt necessary but an added bonus as yall make more than enough available for a reasonable fee.

genny ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 10:04 AM

YES,YES,YES, but I would like to see a subscription renewal for one year as one of the prizes. (: I don't know what you could give to the life-time members though, but as much as I would like to join for life, I simply can't afford that much money at one time. Just a thought. (: Genny

Ms_Outlaw ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 11:39 AM

I'd like the renewed subscription prize... life time subscription? ~G~ I've only just started my year so have a way to go before I panic, but would love another year or more added so I won't have to panic later. We all love contests. You get good promo pic's and we get a prize... who doesn't love a win win situation? But please email us if you decide to do this ~s~

Hmm... looks like the dice have been cast! :o) I like the extra ideas of considering 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place of just a single winner.. and yeah, the lifetime subscription sounds a good option as well and something worthwile to give your best on an image..hehe! OK guys.. consider it settled then! :o) I'll just conferess with steve tonight, set up and compose the rules and YES.. I will post here, send emails out AND post as well on PWFW's forum, so check there often too! More details pretty soon I guess! I just hope I haven't caught steve by surprise...as usual! LOL Rena

Sounds like kicking idea to me :o) just one thing though if you win your not allowed to request a fully detailed jumbo jet or a model of Washington ROFLMAO .......Steve

chohole ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 1:25 PM

Sounds really good, although I can never even win an argument. Which is a shame cos there is a couple of things I would like to see someone make. I'll give it a whirl anyway.

Kiera ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 1:38 PM

Ehhe, I won't be entering this contest. ;) I have won enough for awhile! =D

Kiera ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 1:51 PM

I also won the 3-darena contest. ;) Which is why I am taking a break from contests for awhile.. I mean, I have won so much stuff I can't possibly use it all in a month.

sergemarck ( ) posted Mon, 04 March 2002 at 3:14 PM

Rena, if I win, will I have a new faerie ? 2 years I'm waiting now LOL Or perhaps, a week with Steve and you ? Well, I never entered any contest . Would this one be the first one ? Joke stop here : why do you hesitate ? It would be funny. Serge
