Found a big zip file with over 300 BVH files usable in poser for any of you to download. here is the url... http://movement.stanford.edu/santa.zip Be aware that it is a hefty 30Mb! But I think it's worth the download time.

BVH is a motion file (BioVision format - I think), usually recorded from a living actor... it's how you get those incredibly realistic animations... You'll love them... There are a few on your Poser content disk if you want to check one out quik like.. ;)

You don't know what is a BVH? :) I didn't too :) well a BVH is a Biovision Motion capture file, they are very usefull to make animations, poser can read some BVH files, and it does great animations. Best Regards Virus

This looks like a winner! MOCAPS at Turbosquid for $200. each?!?!? Skwoo dat kwap, wabbit. I hope these 300 BVH files help them learn how to live in a cardboard box, and drive a shopping cart.

just FYI: i did a research some weeks ago and found another resource for BVH files at: http://www.help3d.com/Motion_Capture/motion_capture.html this is a membership site Get access to all Models ,Texture and Libraries for only $49.99 but they have approx. 20-20 files for free download - i tried some of the dance files - found some minor bugs, but very usefull. have fun :)

Just comparing the two, it appears that the files at Help3D may in fact be the same files. I'm not a member, but there were 23 "sit" files listed in the Help3D Members Only section that have similar file names to the 23 "sit" files in the free file at stanford.edu. Who's zoomin' who? Anyone a member there? Just wondering if the files there are attributed to Futurelight/Santa Monica Studios as are the files at Stanford.
