Subject: Newbie questions

Hello, I'm new to Renderosity (user name: Paul_spg) and had a few questions to some items on the site. My appologies if I missed a FAQ or section that goes over these items or if I posted this in the wrong forum. 1. Is there a general Rederosity FAQ (do's and don'ts for forums, info for new users, etc.) I did find "Part Duex" when I did a search but not a main FAQ. 2. Is there a specific beginners/newbie forum for all the questions I will have when just starting or is this the correct place to post my general/newbie questions. 3. Is there an appropriate place to tell the users/forum that a new image has been uploaded. Example, A new image in the Bryce gallery is loaded, can you leave a message in a specific forum about the upload (like the "artist and plug" category they have on some sites) Thanks in advance for you help. Paul (Paul_spg)

That's the closest we have for now. We don't quite have an FAQ and a site map yet... it would be helpful. This place is huge for someone who's never tried to navigate it before.

"I am a good person now and it feels... well, pretty much the same as I felt before (except that the headaches have gone away now that I'm not wearing control top pantyhose on my head anymore)"

Welcome, Paul, and if you have any specific questions, help is never too far. While the various software-specific forums are supposed to be kept OT, quick little questions about the site are generally OK. Most of the regular posting people here are very helpful. Also, you can of course ask anything site-related in here, too. Plus, at the very top, second column, bottom row, under Instant Messaging, if you click it, it will take you to a page where you can send a massage to any other user. If you scroll down a little, you'll see a list of what admins and moderators are currently online, and clicking the name will open a form box for you to send a message. If you have any immediate questions, that is. The same goes for all members...clicking the name opens the IM form. And once they've received your message, you'll get a notice on your sceeen, "such-and-such has received your message". So, like I said, whatever you want to know about the site, just ask. -Mike
