First a joke: is there a mac version??
( uproarious laughter!!))

but seriously wont this tailor effectively elliminate a segment of the marktplace here that that makes or was planning to make conforming clothing for the morphed up mike and vicky figures??

the price of progress i guess

Swings and roundabouts. Anyone who has my Vickie lingerie or the Michael clothing pack can now get them to fit the morphed figures. Previously it was never economical to put all the morphs in. The work load and the requirement for accuracy, in my view were unequal to the return. (That said I did put some of the "more popular" morphs in :)

However from this point on you can be sure that my clothing outfits will include the morphs.

Same here. Infact I am now planning on going back and updating my last 5 or so clothing items.

aleks ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 12:48 PM

another effect will be that the clothing items would have finer meshes to allow the tailor to morph them accordingly. of course, philc's approach is more convenient ;)

jaybutton ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 12:56 PM

That was exactly my thought, aleks. Hopefully merchants will create clothing ready to be morphed with Tailor. :) Jay

If artist prepare clothing for use with Tailor, will that make them unusable for mac people as they won't be able to use Tailor?

Wooooooo wooo woo! (wildly applauding PhilC) WAH ha ha hee hee hee HOOOOOO whoa nellie, that's a good one (laughing uproariously with wolf359)

My custom clothes have a large number of body morphs in them :) On the first question there will always be some people who don't want to do it themselves, morphs that is. However, I see that percentage of the population may be getting smaller.

PhilC ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 1:49 PM

Barbarellany, once the morphs are added to the figure it will be the same as any other CR2. You do not require Tailor to be able to use them.

It shouldn't affect that at all barbarellany. Mac users can run the tailor program itself because its a windows program. If someone else uses tailor and makes the completed cr2 available to you, you could use it just like any other cr2.

Thank you, just wanted to be sure that ir wouldn't cause a change that maconverter couldn't handle. So you are saying the vendors will put more morphs into the clothing because it is easier?

wil it run under virtual PC

i wonder.

I'll have to run some more tests to decide if the morphs are what I'll use in the finished clothing I sell, but I surely don't see it hurting my sales, I sell mesh, not morphs! Incidently, what I mean abiut more testing is some of the clothing items don't fit 100% tight against the body everywear, for example a top might have a section between the breasts that while taught isn't touching the skin- I think the Tailor will have problems there. Tailor seemed pretty CPU intensive, it would be awful slow under virtual PC, I suspect.

hauksdottir ( ) posted Wed, 06 March 2002 at 4:44 PM

It will be interesting to see what effects there are on clothing which isn't skin tight: lady's skirts for example. If Jim can make a blouse look taut, but not clingy-wet and Phil and Traveler can have their clothes swing freely, then we have an incredible product here. And, yes, I'll wait for the Mac version. It will probably only hurt the vicky2 morphing clothing pack. I don't know what happened to the mike2 morphing clothing pack, but since they cost the same as tailor, I'd rather buy it.
