ok everyone whos interested in this. heres whats going on. fig 1 shows what happens when a transmap is applied to the p4 halter top dress, a stray polygon seems to appear. fig 2 shows the dress with the figure removed and the stray polygon revealed, it is in fact a polygon at the back of the dress as shown in fig 3. fig 4 shows the defualt UV map with your transmap in position, simply paint a circle using a round brush were it says paint here. this is being done in a paint program with layers of course where the uvmap is on a seperate layer to the transmap. when you,re happy with the trans simply discard the uvmap layer by deleting it. fig 5 shows the result of the new transmap notice the offending polygon has vanished. fig 6 shows the dress coloured you may also apply any tex now. set all object coluors to white everything else to black load your trans and tex. set trans to 100% and trans fallout to 0. turn down the highlight size to about 25%. hope this helps you out. cheers stu.

Thanks, I had tried it but was thinking it was higher on the back and perhaps and hidden facet or something and just didn't go low enough.

It has worked, thankyou so much Stuart, I would never have thought about taking out a piece at the back, after all there's a body in the way. Problem solved. Dresses on the way now.
