Admiring Allierleirauh's trans curls excessively, I decided to try my hand at this trans map stuff. I decided to start of with something that was both easier and dear to my heart. So here is my first try at a trans map for the poser horse's tail. Comments and suggestions will be gratefully accpted.

It looks like a good start to me. I think it's about time our sweet animals get some work done for them. Anyway.. back to the issue. I think it's a good idea if you work at a texturemap at the same time as the transmap. That way you can "easier" get it to look good. It's hard to achieve with only trans. Another thing I would recommend you to try is to use a smaller brush (if that's what you've used) to make it (hopefully) look like real horsehair. Maybe you could... a crazy idea.... try to use 2 horsetails? with different transmaps? Just my opinion Milaja ps. I REALLY love your pictures!!

I will posted a new version with a texture map of mine used in the CG gallery. I tried using a smaller brush but it doesn't seem to have made much difference. Two horse tails is a good idea. I'll have to give it a try. Thanx for the kind words on my work! Daio
