Now apart from giving the above photo a border, I haven't done anything to this pic but download it from the camera and reduce the file size for posting. Can anyone tell me why I get the greenish cast in the clouds? I'm pretty sure it wasn't there in real life...is it just one of those digital camera thingies? (that's a technical term ya know)
First one sure is pretty! Are those hill in the background forested or (green) fields? It looks like enough light is getting through in patches to bounce off those fields back to the clouds. The brain often compensates for colors it does not expect. Then again, it could be a strange digi-thingie. From a lot of the digital pictures I've been seeing, the results work pretty well under daylight, incandescent, flourescent, etc., lighting. Even pictures taken with a lot f bounce light off of colored walls do not look too strange. Unlike the films which needed to be specifically balanced for different light. Could the digi's be trying to guess some sort of color balance, and in this case just guessed a little wrong? In any case, very pretty. If you were trying for the green affect it would be difficult to achieve. Sometimes just get lucky.
Absolutely beautiful Punky! It's got that late summer feel to it. Interesting how different it looks from our beaches here. Many clouds there...it adds a lot to the mood. Must have been hard to leave! I think I'll put together a few pictures of mine from our coast and give you a look at what I mean by the different look.
Nice photos Punkclown, looks like a beautiful place. I like the lighthouse in sepia, seems to suit the subject.

Hi there, dear PunkClown, how are you..? Nice to see you and your photos back again... :) I find the third one to be very beautiful... ...for its rather minimal style. ...for its very diynamic perspective, where nearly all the lines (even the speckles of clouds) converge towards the white lighthouse (?) in the horizon. ...for its color and tonal variations. Regards... :)
