Subject: Any interest in more nonhuman mike/vik/milkid/steph skins?

I've received a lot of comments on my animal and alien Mikeskins - is there sufficient interest out there for me to make some more critters/ colors/ patterns/?? ? And are they wanted for Mike, Vik, Steph and the kids? Make a whole nonhuman family! :) If so, then please feel free to be painfully detailed about what you are interested in :) While we're here would you all like my Eklan skin in different colors than blue and green? I know I like that sort of thing.... I'd like to see some detailed skins of "different sorts" maybe some odd colorations, etc.... I posted a pic yesterday that has a bit of a Tomy texture I murked up a bit with some design, shadow and freckles. I don't think they need be too extreme.. but maybe just a little odd here and there... Unfortunately I am absolutely awful with texturing.. my skills have always been in using and altering other people's work :grins: but you're work always turns out nice Lyrra - I've no doubt it will come to a good end. I'd love to see some snaky or lizardy sorts of skin textures-- scales, diamondback rattlesnake patterns down the back, that sort of thing. I've no immediate use for it so couldn't justify a purchase just now, but it would be cool!

I just did a search in free stuff for "lyrra" where are your textures(market place)?? I love stuff like this , How I missed them I'll never know

I would love to see more of your critter-skins, especially of the felinoid variety (i.e. leopard, jaguar, panther, etc.). Leo and Shere are awesome! Victoria and/or Stephanie versions would be great as well. Render On!

Lyrra, i hope you don't mind my posting the URL for your Shades of Michael page?

OH thanks I apologize for not recognizing the name "Lyrra", if "Shades of Mike" Had been mentioned I would have known right away.. I love Leo the Lion guy, I play around with him a lot, I have never posted a pic with him, because I haven't decided on a good setting or scene for him yet All your textures are unique and well done, so anything you decide on would be good

Anzan, Well the ShoM skins are ok to modify and redistribute - so go for it :) Odd colorations? hey, with Kai's texture explorer I can make all sorts of trippy things. Any colors in mind? :) Strangechilde, Diamondbacks? hmmm. I'm thinking :) Palatinkinght, I make make a lioness and tigress version just for steph, since even though the Mike version fits - it looks silly :) Dirk, Yeah, my stuff isn't currently in freestuff - I switched hosts recently and havent bothered reposting all 30+ things. Been too busy making textures for Bloodsong's new Hellpuppy and Mantikitty :) (check 'em out in the product showcase - the lion textures came out awesome) Looks like I succeeded in getting the name "Shades of Michael" recognized :) Rememeber everybody, that all ya'll can modify the textures and send them to me to put up. I'll be putting links to Bloodsong's two great characters that use my textures - a scarred nubian warrior, and a sea pixie (eklan again)

I second the vote for more felinoid textures. A snow leopard would be nice, as would a black leopard. How about tabbies and calicos in addition to the great cats? Perhaps a wolf- or zebra-skin?

YESH! thank you! anything your lil old head comes up with is great by me! hugs you!

Love the textures you put out thus far.. definite need for more "scaly" textures tho.. :) I've tried making my own to no avail (can never match up the seams right between head and body, body and hands etc.) Again, you done great so far.. looking forward to seeing more (using more) of your stuff! - Lee

Lyrra ( ) posted Mon, 11 March 2002 at 3:43 AM

Scales. Check. I always think they look weird on mammal shaped bodies though scratches head Oh well - I prefer furry things anyways :) and Lee, keep an eye out for the texture tutes I'll be putting out in the nearish future - I'm planning to cover those issues among a whole raft of other ones. And actually these textures have some oopsies on seams - but you guys get to fix 'em yourselves :) Littledragon, more animal skins - check. Really tempted to do a giraffe one, just for giggles :) and BTW I'm making a black panther for Lionheart, and I'll probably make a few more skins while I'm setup. Lion of course, tiger, maybe snowleopard and alien. Lyrra
