Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 25 12:38 pm)
Good idea Wolf.. I started to work on some things like this with the P4 figures, but time and me lacking enough ambition to finish what I started left alot of things unfinished. I used morphs and magnets originally, but I finally spawned morphs from all the magnets and started working in that direction. I think I had better luck with morphs than I did with the magnets.
EdW, you may like to look at PAE, a utility developed for P4 female figures. Link below. http://www.eurus.dti.ne.jp/%7Emasasi/Service/indexE.html It is a program designed to add gravity and side motion to breasts, hips and hair in Poser animations afer youve created them. You export your animation PZ2 as a BVH file, run it through PAE and resave it as a PZ2, then apply it over the animation in Poser. It works with any P4 female, but you have to rename the morph dials you want to use with a "pae" prefix. The results are pretty cool. To test it out it is best to use one the the figures already set up for it Nene, RanRan CanCan. Unfortunately it hasn
t been developed any further so Victoria doesn`t appear to work, due to the chest now being in 3 seperate zones. In Poser the best hope seems to be in developing something along the lines of the "Motion blur" technology Pro Pack uses, replacing the blur with inertia morphs. God knows how though. B)
Hi I did look at the PAE utility and used it a little. They were so far ahead of anybody at that time that I don't think there was much interest. Actually there's not really alot of interest in Poser animation anyway, but it's what I like so that's what I do.<<<--- a little rant.. There utility was where I got the idea to use magnets and morphs to simulate soft body and tissue movement. As I stated earlier, I started with magnets and morphs and ended up using just morphs. I was working on the base P4 figures so I could move the morphs between different characters I created. I did have some pretty good results using one figure's hand to deform another figure.. like when someone squeezes an arm or other body part. Right now I don't even know where I stowed the files and animations I did while I was working on this. My hope is that Poser 5 will address this and make it easier to incorporate into our animations. I have been experimenting with the morphs of the millenium figres in an attempt to simulate soft body dynamics in poser animations this is one of my intitial tests. its far from perfect !!! but the theory is sound I am looking into the possibility of creating custom python scripts to automate this process ( 1.2 meg mpeg)My website
