Subject: Poser Pro Pack a must?

Hi Is Poser Pro Pack a must buy? I don't have neither 3DS MAX nor Lightwave Cinema. And other stuff looks like that it can be done by my modeling program too. Seravajan

I dunno - I got the Pro Pack, and since I don't do much animation, I was kind of disappointed in it (although it does use .png images instead of .rsr's, which I do like.) There are also a couple of tiny helpful improvements that make modelling easier, but otherwise I'd say that it's not really required. /P

Python scripts have some extra functions which are just becoming useful. This is Post number 6 at the moment, take a look at post 176 which asked exactly the same.

If you want to build your own posable figures, it is a must.

I would recommend waiting for Poser5. Too me ProPack is kinda like a Poser4.5 It has some interesting features but seems to be an attempt to impress people using the big name software and not a strong effort to improve the program itself. I have ProPack but do not use it. No reflections, no advanced lighting. Just more bells and whistles. Anton

naaah. it isn't even a must for building new figures. not in my opinion; i still do it the old way. there is a demo if you want to see what it does, before you decide.

The answer is no.
