As yet untextured gondola for an airship. Lots of work to do in the cabin still.

It's the tail... it's horrible I know, but I don't know what it should look like.

Any ideas?

Well do you want modelling suggestions or do you want suggestions on the craft? Modelling suggestions I might not be any good with - because I'm really new to modelling well... but suggestions on what I would add to the model - i can think of some... only just how "realistic" do you want it - If you are looking to fantasy airship type thing - you can pretty much add whatever the hell you like. After all - Fantasy means you can pretty much do anything you want. However, if you are looking at something a little more realistic - ie... grounded in Physic's - I would suggest looking at normal airplanes, and especially experimental planes, and seeing which characteristics are always there, and which are important. You don't have to learn much about physic's to know that a helicopter needs a stablising rotor to prevent it from falling out of the sky while going round and round and round. Or that a plan needs some form of tail rudder to help stablise drift, and yawn. WiNC

It looks great!! i mean its cute:-) i like the way it looks n it makes me think of many incredible cartoons.i don't know how u want to use this model, but if i were u, i'll start texture the cabin area instead of constructing the cabin. i'll build another seperate model for the interior(the cabin) for close up :-) btw- are u using TS5? royloo

Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. What kind of tail do you think this machine should have? Tall, short, fat , thin, curvy, pointy, twin tail, single fin......whatever. Seeking opinions here regards peejay

I think the tail on that thing is pretty good actually...is this gondola going to be attached to the bottom, or the top of the balloon? Maybe, actually, you can just cut segments out of the tail to give it a winged appearance...perhaps by lining up cylindars along the side of the ship that meet at the back, so that you can slice out parts to give it like a dragon-wing or bat-wing type of shape...if you know what I mean.
