You need to "weld" the verticies where the two object are joined. ;=]

You can do it in your modeling program ... -or- you can edit the .cr2 file to add the necessary "weld" instructions. ;=]

Open your cr2 file in a text editor. Search for feld or scroll to end of file Look here and see that line with Tail and Hip in it. Replace tail with the name of the first bendable segment. Now notice the letter "5" use whatever number is in your cr2. ---------------Except from cr2 file----------------------- goal rHand:5 linkWeight 0 1 linkWeight 1 0.2 } defaultPick hip:5 displayOn 1 weld abdomen:5 hip:5 weld tail:5 hip:5 weld tail2:5 tail:5 weld chest:5 abdomen:5 -------------------------------------------------------- I cannot recommend enough learning to hand edit cr2 files and not depending on utilities.

Is your tail part of the hip or abdomen body part, or a seperate body part? It kind of looks like it may span the hip and abdomen, if that's the case you're going to have some serious trouble getting the cr2 setup. The easiest way to do this is to create a replacement hip or abdomen with the tail sticking out. Then segment the tail. This will reduce the necessary CR2 hacking and make setting up the figure much easier. ngsmall02.gif

nerd is right. The layout of your groups is absolutely essential. No group should border more than one other group. Don't depend exclusively upon Pro Pack's Auto Group tool, because it doesn't take this into account.

Top or bottom configurations are ok. Middle configuration will NOT WORK properly ;=]

OK, there is another (and much more daunting possibility) it the vertexes for the "spacerbone" and "hip" don't line up EXACTLY it won't weld. It may be that something got moved a tiny bit after the model was divided. This will prevent the weld from working. Unfortunatelt this means you will need to venture back into the modeler, weld that seam back together and try dividing it again. Be extremely careful not to move any parts any where along the process. ngsmall02.gif
