hmm, so what's up with this guy posting horrid remarks to anyone who doesn't produce a picture of excellence? There are alot of beginners on this site (myself at the front of the line). I know my pictures are nothing to rave about, but I put the time in. I don't mind not receiving comments, or tips on what I should possibly have done. However I saw one comment he made to another picture that was simply "this makes me puke" ..... Nice.. I'm sure inspiring comments such as that will send that artist right back into their respective program to get down to the grind. What are the proper steps to see if this person should be warned or even removed from the site administrators?

I'll have a look and see what's up. Where is the "this makes me puke" comment? To answer your question, you can tell any moderator online at the time through an IM, or you can also tell the admins. The easiest way is to click on the Instant Messaging link at the top, and you can see which admins and mods are online at the time, at the top of the screen where they're listed.

I went to your gallery, it is wonderful, you can't be a beginner, really nice pictures. And you know what, don't think you can stop those people. It's a shame but hey there are enough of us that will add encouragement to all and it will erase those that are cruel. Sharen

Well, thanks for the info. Terribly sorry it had to happen, but it's like Sharen said. :( In any event, I just gave "the_pirate" a 7 day suspension from being able to post anything here at all, comments or otherwise. I had warned him once before about this, and I'm not giving a second warning to people who do such things.

To Sharon, thx alot. I know the road ahead is still quite long though. All fun and keeps me happy. =) Mike: I only brought it up because I've never seen anyone post such comments on so many pictures. I can understand taking criticism (sp?) the wrong way, however these are outright insults. I appreciate your taking action, I only had one item commented, but the person who posted the picture on the above link had comments on two items in a row! Anyhow, I have more productive things to do then waste more time on him. I have more Vueing to do today before the weekend is over. Thx again, Chris

Hello Chris :-) I am working hard at learning Vue and Poser... It's a very difficult process for me but I am enjoying it every step of the way. Everytime I post a picture in the gallery, it's like showing that I am making some progress, and the comments should be helpful not something to discourage you. You are perfectly right to condamn these type of actions. Fortunately, the people here are very generous and helpful to one another. This person doesn't seem to belong in our kind of community. By the way, I went to your gallery and I must tell you you are doing great pictures :-) Elaine

Again, Chris, you're welcome. Actually, I want to thank YOU, for alerting me to it. Usually I just take a quick look, and every few days, I go through more pictures. Lately, the site's been kind of slow, so I missed what was happening. :( And you're right, Elaine, the people here mostly are helpful and courteous, particularly in this forum and our Vue gallery. Those who aren't, mostly have the maturity to stay quiet if they simply don't like something. I want people to feel free to upload their pictures to the Vue gallery, and feel safe from trolls and otherwise obnoxious input. That's the way it should be, after all. People, especially beginners should not be afraid to upload their pictures to our galleries!

Thanks again MikeJ for being on top of the situation here for us. You do a real good job. Sharen

Anytime Mike, I owe something to the community. =) I don't post alot, but I read these forums almost everyday.

I had noticed this person also. He made several very rude remarks on pictures. I don't remember all of them, but one of them was on a picture I made (link included). Luckily I could laugh with it. But some people might stop posting here with such comments.
