Looks good. I think I like her without the facial hair. I do most of my rendering in Bryce too. BTW, you know you can get those transmaps to work in Bryce, don'tcha? Follow the link to a great, simple tutorial on Poser to Bryce. Click on tutorials in the upper right hand corner. Keep up the good work! Love to see more.Attached Link: http://www.awakemm.com/poserarcana/tutorials/tb/tb01/index.html
We have a tutorial at Poser Arcana by Tony Bolton on importing Victoria into Bryce...this one is updated for Victoria 2 and Michael. CrisJoe, Even if you want flat sand on the edge of your beach, I'd suggest dropping a "terrain" mesh on the ground plane and flattening, stretching it until it fills a great portion of the scene. Add sky. Add your sky and land textures (I never use anything straight out of the package, but fiddle with it a bit). Position the camera low near the middle, facing a nice section of sky. (In Bryce, you can go into the editor and position the sun or moon with numerical precision.) Add water. The water's edge ought to be irregular since you have an irregular terrain mesh. You now have a nice landscape waiting for subject matter. You can import people, add rocks or plants, put a boat or sea serpent on the horizon, whatever. You have a warm lovely image here. With cast shadows on a textured ground, the scene will start to pull together. Carolly
Great job! Nice colors. I don't know of any facial hair tutorials, but I can tell you one thing, all the poser maps I've bought with facial hair use high resolution photos of actual mustaches and beards, and as a matter of fact the last Curiou Labs Report has a section on texturing and gives hints at creating a beard map for the head. Hope that helps.
