O.K. I finally set-up the Beta patch and now Poser won't export .OBJ or .3DS. I get that old "Caught C-Ex" error. Should I re-install Poser or has anyone else run into the problem and found a fix? Visque PS I have tried various models, so I'm pretty confident that the problem is not model dependent.

Did you replace (not just move or rename) the assorted export filters? Check that you don't have mixed versions of files, where you missed one or two parts of the patch.

In other words, check your import list again within poser...you should see two of every type of import. Use the ones on the bottom. You will get this problem when you follow the directions contained in the patch. It doesn't say delete the old ones. I feel your panic, remember it well -Darth_Logice

Hi, How do you delete the extra plug-ins. I renamed mine with a -old tag and the names didn't change to reflect that in the file/export gui but I do have two (with the same name) of most of the plug-ins. Do you really have to delete the old files rather than rename them? thanks, mike

My mistake; I actually put the old plugins in a directory I named old so the file names where the same. I added an old tag to the .exe files. How do i get rid of the extra plugins? mike

Delete them. Poser is very persistant in searching for them. If you need to remove the beta the best bet would be to reinstall poser and move your old data. You can copy just the old dll, rsr, exe and other files back, but it is hard to get them all. That is why I normally tested the betas by renaming my poser 4 directory, installing a new poser 4 copy, then, if it seemed stable, copying the old data in. But you have to be careful to just copy the new stuff you did, not the old version of the libraries. A a pain, but it seems safer. And I have a lot of free disk space.
