Hi folks!

I got Poser as a gift from my boyfriend a few days ago, so this is kind of an introduction too ^_-

Well, I started fooling around but hit an obstacle today. As you can see in the picture there is a very visible distortion in the area called left collar on the woman. And I can find no way to get it away :(
Am I missing something? I hope so because I am using limits on the figure and I thought there should be no distortion if I move everything withing the limits of human geography.

Well, anyway, Hello to you all :) I hope that one day soon I will be good enough to post some renderings.

Great picture for a newbie! :Grins: Excellent, really. As for that... I'm sure someone can help you. What I'd do is just clean it up in a 2d program (photoshop) sometimes the meshes just get funky. The p4 people are terrible about that. Welcome to the community, however. Again, very nice work. Anz

Hehe, thank you :) Yes, post work would be possible, thats true. But that part bugs me to no end when working in Poser ;) I just hoped I could get it out of the way somehow, so that I do not have to go back to that part every few minutes to move it around a bit and still resolving nothing. Well, knowing that Poser does things like that helps a bit ^_^ Naichoryss

Very sweet image. Welcome to R'osity. Is your boyfriend a Poser too? I mean, well , you know. ; )

Lol Yeah, he is a Poser. He Poses for me when I am sketching ^_- But I know what you mean. No, he is not really artisticly inclined. He much more favors sports or watching TV/playing Videogames. Something I have no connection to ;) Naichoryss

I guess it's Anz said the standard poser figures are not that good. You won't have us much trouble with the comercial figures like "Michael" and "Victoria" they handle the normal poses much better. So my tip is to look at Daz3D and see if you think it's worth the price to not have to do so much postworks. Plus you'll get Stephanie with Michael 2 now, so I think it's a very good deal. Finaly by the picture you don't look like a newbie to me, great work Magnus

I agree about the picture, I think the lighting particularly is quite good.

If you don't like post-work, you could try correcting the distortion with a magnet...though that might make post-work seem more appealing ;-)

I think the free Stephanie with Michael offer ended on the 18th or 19th. Sorry. Unless they've extended it. Can't hurt to check it out. Melanie

BTw, another Question. Is there something like gravity in Poser? I tried to pull a blanket over the two (at least partly, I think it adds believability) but, well, it would not fold like I want it to :) Naichoryss

I've seen artists accomplish that effect using magnets to shape the blanket. Besides what's in the manual, here's a couple of sites that offer Tutorials on the use of Magnets. http://www.theattic.nl/tutorials/ http://www.planet-3d.com/ There's also a superb Craftsman bed set by AZl in the marketplace that includes bedding with magnets to do this easily.

Looks like I have to fiddle a bit with that magnets :) thanks a lot Naichoryss
