Heya, Pretty new to all of this, past work in the field of 3D been mostley doing textures and skins for Quake(1,2,3) or the Sims. I've been doing 2d art since I've been 3 (Mom's got the picture to prove it) I've mostley done comics (you'll never have heared of :) Got Poser from a buddy who is going through a rough divorce (rather I get it then his wife was his tought) Anycow, I've got some questions, and even tough I got it of my buddy he can't answer them for me, seems he never got around to do anything deeper then "fool around with it". (He spend plenty dosh on models and such tough hehe) Anyroad some questions I have; 1.With poser I also got the excelent Mike2 & Vicky2 plus a bunch of clothes. Is it possible to add morph targets to their clothes so my "morphed" characters don't have to run around nekkid all the time? 1a.If so how? 2.Can conforming clothes for P4 nude figures (AKA Dork & Possette) be made to be conforming to Mike & Vicky? 2a.If so how? 3.I'm working on some characters for a comic I plan on making with Poser4. Their's 3 Vicky based chars and 3 Mike based ones, I finally finished 5 of em and wanted to do a group pic of the females alone. Unfortunatly when I load in a second figure (I saved them under figuresnew models) it will take all the body morphs (dials) I set for the first one instead using the ones saved. Furthermore is i move a dial on one of them, the other one is afected aswel!!! this is driving me NUTS! how can I have multiple (dial morphed) characters in one scene without them doing this? Uh... lessee... 1. You can now, there's a program called Tailor in the marketplace that can add morphs. Look through the message boards there are dozens of posts about it and how it works. 2. No. If you have Mike 2 and Vicki 2 then you can use their p4 forms and use them. So you can use p4 vicki and conform clothes to her but you remain with the p4 body though you get all the morphs of the Vicki 2 head. 3. This is called Crosstalk. I don't know anymore than that :grins: Look up that in the message boards as well, you'll find people that know what they're doing with that. Anz

Concerning cross talk, the other day I stumbled on to the DAZ FAQ and found an easier solution for eliminating cross talk than renaming all your morphs. Well its easier for me anyway. If you load a null figure before loading another millenium figure you don't get the cross talk. The FAQ points to Robert Whisenant's website http://www.rbtwhiz.com/ where you can get a copy of the millenium null figure. For mor info see the DAZ FAQ linked above.

The problem is that the null figure solution disappears when you've saved your picture and want to load it again later. The method that I've illustrated will fix this problem permanently. If you have some customized characters, such as mine, you want the easiest solution for the long haul. (Gaz and Jaagar taught me this method.)

Actually, when used correctly, null figures protect from crosstalk even in saved pz3s. Basically, you need to load a null for each copy of the figure that you load, so if you have five Vickies, then you need five nulls. Here's an excerpt from a recent DAZ tech tip written by Rob Whisenant: NOTE 1:With the exception of a figure [clothing] you wish to conform to another figure in the scene... each time you wish to add another figure, you must select the null (the original one, named "Millennium Null", without any additional numbers or characters) from the "Current Figure" list, in addition to "Body" from the "Current Element" list, before loading. This includes loading additional nulls. NOTE 2:With the exception of a figure [clothing] you wish to conform to another figure in the scene... for each figure you wish to load, you must first load a null to shield the figures from cross-talking when the saved file (.pz3) is opened later.

I have no affiliation with the3dwizard, but it seems like he's got what you're looking for on 1 & 2 in the Marketplace...though I'm also weighing buying the Tailor.

I've played around with the null and it worked with only one null loaded as long as I selected the null before selecting and posing/respositioning/moving characters.

This is the way to eliminate crosstalk the easy way, the permanent way, by Robert Whisenant, the man who co-created ERC (enhanced remote control-aka EMC), which are features of the DAZ Millennium figures that cause crosstalk.

He's pretty much the expert on this topic. Most importantly, this tutorial will show you how to eliminate the crosstalk problem that re-appears after opening a saved .pz3.

I skimmed through the tutorial, since I woke up way to early and need to get back to bed. The null method is a royal pain. You have to do way too much work, loading an extra item all the time. If you use the method taught by Gaz, Jaager and told by me, you fix the characters once, and never have another issue with crosstalk.

Actually, I've found the null method to be efficient, and rather simple. You prep your characters once, following an easy procedure, and all crosstalk issues are permanently solved.
