Sounds like you are leaving the "Email me when someone replies" box checked when you post a message. Maybe? Clint

Oh yeah. I guess I thought that's what the option was for. But of course, I realize now it has to do with having my email addy show up. Duh. Any way to change the default on Notify? As I said, it's a pain in the ebutt to have to either uncheck it each time or suffer the consequences and get all those ebot emails.

No - Thats its default state. I just bang Tab when done with my message and then Space then enter.

Why can't the default state be reset to an empty checkbox and have people put a check in it to activate it (only when they actually want it)?

Exactly the point I was making, Allen9. Thanks for restating it; maybe admin will pay a little more attention now. I wonder how many people really want all those ebot emails. And it seems to me that changing the default would help Rosity cut down on their bandwidth usage.
