OK... I admit it, I am just a guy who likes making (almost) a living with my digital 'Barbie'...

But isnt that outfit just slamming? The jacket rocks and the detail on those jeans....

::sigh::

Woah! Wher did you find this? Baz

They use displacement maps for the wrinkles in the clothes. Displacement maps are like bump maps but they actually move the mesh.

a sweet disorder in the dress kindles in clothes a wantoness,

I suspect it was a cheescake shot the animators did for amusement, like the ones they did for "Maxim" magazine.

praxis22 ( ) posted Wed, 20 March 2002 at 12:17 PM

The model is actually her standard outfit that's been transmapped and given a leather texture if you compare it to a move still. I've got a bigger one (image) if you're intersted: praxis22@hot mail later jb

praxis22 ( ) posted Wed, 20 March 2002 at 12:21 PM

Oh, You can find the image, along with others on the Region 1 DVD on disc 2, though the standout "easter egg" is the "thriller" video, it's a real hoot too! :) later jb

Ok, everyone is answering questions as if everyone knows what is being talked about. It looked like Final Fantasy and then someone mentioned a DVD but what has this to do with a clothing challenge? Did you make the textures, SoulHuntre? Was this rendered in a particular program? Is the model available? Why does the jacket have breasts? The weight of the leather does not indicate that it would be thin enough to let the nipples show through and certainly wouldn't conform to the shape of the breast that way. Though the texturing and detailing on the rest of the clothing is just wonderful. Cris

PheonixRising ( ) posted Wed, 20 March 2002 at 2:04 PM

Chris, Final "f-a-n-t-a-s-y". I think the niiples are part of the jacket appealing to men that like nipples. Most posts go Off-topic, Don't they. That is a Final Fantasy promo images and not a Poser figure. Hope that clears things up. He likes the clothing and wants someone to make it. Hope you're doing well. Anton

Wow Anton! Way cool :) I like it! The detail near the boots (the flair) is good stuff. What particularly interest me in what I posted was all the little details at the belt line ya know?

PheonixRising ( ) posted Thu, 21 March 2002 at 5:29 AM

Ok. I can't really make it just like theirs. Theirs is fairly generic sexy military stuff. Far from functional. lol I'm planning an optional "changing" hip for an option with more "hardware" on it. I'm also going to add some top variations for the chest group to get a few more looks. I like the lapels on the pic - kinda 80's. Most of the folds and contours really should be done with text and bump. Fairly easy. I'll play around to match the coloring and highlights. Anton

That's VERY cool, Anton Love the belt. The top should look really sexy unzipped

I am including both versions of the top. I like this one better though. :)

Looks really good Anton! Wow... you work fast :)

black-canary ( ) posted Fri, 22 March 2002 at 7:12 AM

That image of Aki (from final fantasy) ran in Entertainment Weekly when the movie came out. Aeryn Sun on Farscape wears outfits like these a lot--military sexpot gear. Great stuff.

soulhuntre ( ) posted Fri, 22 March 2002 at 2:15 PM

That style tends to look good, thats why it is popular in everything from adventure movies to anime and sci-fi. Tough but hot :)

i have GOT to get my head wrapped around
this conforming clothing process!!

but too many irons in the fire right now :-(
