I am obtaining a strange outcome (see image) after posing Mike in his new coat. When ever I use a pre-Mike pose on the Mike model the coat's sleeve respond with a strange spike. I was just wondering what precautions I need to take before applying the pre-pose.

I have had this exact same problem with Mike's country/western jackets when I bend the arm to a certain point. Still haven't figured out that one. =(

Looks like a spherical falloff problem, but I could be wrong. Traveler sent me very easy instructions to fix that, being the Poser-retarded person I am. I'll see if I can find them

Can't find it, I must have lost it when my computer crashed. I can attempt to explain how to fix it, but I'll sound retarded doing so, as I don't understand the hows and whys, but I did a search and found a link that may be helpful. To fix it I "think" you can do so in the joint editor..... I'm going to feel like such a moron if I'm wrong here. Kind of like hanging out with the grownups and using big words you don't understand. :))) I don't have this package so I can't try it first.

Hey, it's just a new weapon installed by 'Q' at Bond's request. It keeps enemies from sneaking up while Bond is shooting.

i don't have mine yet so its a bit of a guess here but open the joint editor and with the shldr selected and bend scale up the inner spherical zone then the outer of need be, also it could be the forearm one...hope that helps, Steve

I looked in the joint editor and the fall offs are way off to the side. for all of them but I don't know what I'm looking at to move really and daz still has not replied.

I was thinking of buying the suit coat pak this weekend (plus the new hair), but if everyone's having this problem with the coat I'll just wait until DAZ fixes it.

I am downloading a fix right now :) So I am guessing it is fixed in the store.

I just went to DAZ and I didn't see any fix for this product.

I check my order /download history and tried it again. this file is different. It's about 3mb smaller. but I will have to wait to i get home to load it and see what happens.

I still haven't and I mailed reba and tech

cliffwms ( ) posted Fri, 22 March 2002 at 6:27 PM

Hey Gang, I just got home with a message from DAZ giving me a url to download a fix. I have social comittments tonight (darn) so I will not have a chance to work on the file until this weekend. Thanks to all who has responded to this message and those who read this thread. Even if this thread should die, I will try to post my outcome later on.

Daio ( ) posted Fri, 22 March 2002 at 8:34 PM

Do I need to e-mail DAz to get the fix? I need it this weekend for a project that has to be done Monday. :-(

I got my mail with the url, it is the saze size as the current for sale file. so i would say If you got it today you should be good.

cliffwms ( ) posted Fri, 22 March 2002 at 9:43 PM

Follow-up: I cut my commitment short. I find the patch (or new file structure) has fixed the spike sleeve problem. However, I am still encountering a coat sleeve problem when the arm is at some extended positions, which requires extra tweaking (this is not good when you are doing animations), otherwise I can live with it. I am glad this model came out. I am looking forward to Rev 2.
