Great news! Everything you have will work on the Mac (except some of the utility programs). The CD-ROMs that came with your copy of Poser are multi-Platform. Any models in there will also work on your iMac. Also, any files you have downloaded (P4 Standard people or Millennium people) can be converted-- just get them over to the iMac hard drive, and run them through MartinC's Maconverter program (a must-have for Mac users; download it free from Martin's site at http://www.soft-rabbit.com/. I do most of my Poser stuff on a Mac, but I have a PC networked to it so that I can run some of the PC-only utilities. It's a bit of a nuisance to have to keep running the models through Maconverter, but it's is wonderful to be able to do it at all. - JimXMake sure to get the Macnsaller app also, it will copy all the files into their correct file folders for you. And, Maconstructor will be able to work similar to MorphManager with a few additions) like transferng full body morphs. Then check the links at Martins' site for GraphicsConverter which will be able to convert almost all image files to whaeveryou need.
Just got the dual 1Ghz G4 myself, but had to settle on a 22" CRT weighing in at over 70 lbs that I wound up having to lugg up the stairs to my place twice because the first one didn't work when I got it home. I think my vertibre will be insisting on an Apple display next time. Virtual PC appears to run some apps fine, but seems to choke on heavy duty stuff like 3d apps such as Rhino 3D, I think there was a link at their site to a place where people posted reviews on how well various apps worked on Virtual PC.
I run Poser on both my Toshiba laptop in Win98 and on my iBook in OS 9.2. I have Virtual PC with Win98 on the iBook, but I do not run Poser on it. In fact, I hardly run anything under Virtual PC because it is so slow, even compared to a PII 400 (the Toshiba laptop). Besides, I am also using Mimi with Poser and Mimi only runs on a genuine Intel platform, not an emulated one like Virtual PC. However, LipSinc is supposed to have Mimic available on the Mac sometime this month...

Is there any PC and MAC users here... I mean do you use both systems. A friend suggested I get a MAC, so I bought a new I-MAC, to try out. Now , what... do I have to get new Mac/MM models? Think maybe DAZ would send me copies of my purchases in MAC form? I hope so, The thought of having to re-purchase them for the MAC ... well , just makes me sick...VERY SICK. Any help or ideas? Thanks Niles
