I don't think you can buy any other one right now. I'm not sure. Bbay had a couple at one time I think. I managed to get these. Thornes faeries are my favorite Poser characters by far. I love them!

rwilliams ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 6:12 PM

The male one, called Acorn is still for sale at www.bbay.com for $24.95. That is a great deal. Male faeries are hard to come by!

igohigh ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 6:36 PM

I think 3DCommune has one other, more a Pixi like Spooky than a fairy.

rwilliams ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 6:45 PM

You're right. It is Penny Candy. She is the one in the front row with red and white stripped bottoms and no top. Thanks! I didn't know he sold any there. I'll start watching over there too.

WHo's the mermaid? Where'd she come from? That's one I hadn't seen before :) BTW I have a male fairy for Mike 1 coming to the market as soon as I pack him up, and I'll be releasing Naion for p4dude fairly soon. Lyrra

The mermaid was one that Thorne offered in a thread if I remember right. I'll watch for the releases of yours. Thanks.

All his past ones were free giveaways, and only available for one month each. He didn't repeat any of them, unfortunately, or keep the collection up on his site. They're such darling little creatures. I would like to see them come back. Melanie

spudgrl ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 8:50 PM

yeah cause I missed out on allmost all of them. I started poser way late. :( I had no idea about thornes site till way after most of the faires were released. I did manage to get spooky, raven and the one with the yellow flowers. Plus the newest one. I allways thought thorne did such cool work. Especially love those shoes.

ookami ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 10:42 PM

IS thorne still making models? He resurfaced briefly and then dodged under the fairy radar...

Redleaf ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 10:47 PM

Yes, Thorne is still around and is going to have a new Millenium Girl faerie available at Daz soon. Just search for his pictures in the Art Galleries to see what he's been working on recently.

igohigh ( ) posted Tue, 26 March 2002 at 11:09 PM

Those fairy folk are so darn elusive! But I hear that if you have enough belife and wish hard enough upon the first shooting star that maybe, just mabye, a Thorne Fairy or two will reveal themselfs ;-) (they say dreams do come true...)

procchi ( ) posted Wed, 27 March 2002 at 5:13 AM

I'm really upset. I HAD most of the Thorne models that he offered as freebies - then I had a HD crash.. I've gotten the last couple, starting to rebuild a collection - and got wiped out by a virus. It's dismaying. Especally as I've sent him e-mail twice about getting one or two back and been ignored. Ah well.

melanie ( ) posted Wed, 27 March 2002 at 7:50 AM

Thorne just did the cute variation on the Millennium Baby at DAZ. I don't know if he's still creating his regular fairies at his usual pace, but I know he put up Buttercup a few months ago. I haven't seen any new ones since. I think he must be working more on his commercial projects. Melanie

FishNose ( ) posted Wed, 27 March 2002 at 8:08 AM

Geez rw, that's a fantastic pic of all the faeries! Can you put a name to them all? I'd love to know which is which. :] FishNose

rwilliams ( ) posted Wed, 27 March 2002 at 4:26 PM

I am not 100% sure because this is by memory but I think they are as follows: FRONT ROW RIGHT TO LEFT Acorn Oakenleaf Cynamon Candy Anemone Pearl - the mermaid Jammie Buttercup Moss Ivy Brambleberry Grassling Penny Candy Robin Ravenhair Spooky Candy Valeria Cervidae BACK ROW RIGHT TO LEFT April Raine Carly Cornflower Erin O'Fae Mikki D'abo Nikki D'Abo Peridot Olivine Sophie Tisa Periwinkle

Thanks! Cool! :] FishNose

Phantast ( ) posted Thu, 28 March 2002 at 5:02 AM

It's a real shame when things disappear like that. There are the lucky ones who were there at the time (and kept backups against HD crashes), and there are the poor folk who must wander in eternal darkness, forever bereft of the cheering twinkle in the eyes of a Thorne fairy ... who will take pity on them?? Woe! Woe! OK, so I got carried away, but you get the drift.

jade_nyc ( ) posted Thu, 14 October 2004 at 7:04 AM

Any chance of bringing some of these back again Thorne - for all the Posette lovers out there? I missed a couple here and there ;)

Thorne ( ) posted Thu, 14 October 2004 at 4:30 PM

hello to anyone still interested- most of those old Posettes are scattered to the 4 winds, unfortunately. Compared to the current standards of distribution, these have many problems and would take a considerable amount of effort to upgrade, even if it were possible and even if I could ever find them all. However, perhaps I can talk RWilliams into sending me his collection, which is the most comprehesive of any I know of. If so, I might see what I can do about refurbishing some of them. This thread is very old, but I apologize to procchi and anyone else I may have not replied to emails- 5 months prior to this thread I was in the hospital for rather serious surgery and missed a lot during that time and the months of recovery following.

jade_nyc ( ) posted Thu, 14 October 2004 at 6:09 PM

Woohoo! Thorne - if you're talking about packing them up as cr2's instead of pz3's and having them unzip into the runtime folder, I would be happy to do that for you for the ones that I have and get them to you somehow...

igohigh ( ) posted Thu, 14 October 2004 at 11:25 PM

As I said in Post #12: If you have enough belief and wish hard enough dreams do come true.

Thorne ( ) posted Fri, 15 October 2004 at 12:06 AM

Thanks- I'll see what I can do. Best place to catch updates will be FaerieWylde. :)

jade_nyc ( ) posted Fri, 15 October 2004 at 8:53 AM

Thanks Thorne! I'm already a member of FaerieWylde and will be sure to check there.

If you like the ones at DAZ then certainly don't miss the little Pooklings at Faerie Dreams!

Oh I have many of these models but I never saw the mermaid. Where was that hidden Thorne? What are the chances of making that available again!?
