Subject: New to Poser any good reading?
Actually, the tutorial in the Poser manual is pretty good. The result is not going to be very interesting to most people, but it takes you through most of the key things that Poser can do. Then try something. When you get stuck, you've probably got some specific questions. That's a time to go to the tutorials (or to the FAQs beginning to form up in the Poser Backroom Resources, mentioned at the top of every page). If you can't find your answer there, post your question here. In fact, just lurking here in the forum is a wonderful way to keep learning. But it works best if you have a project underway. One day, things will begin to hang together for you. BTW, welcome to the Poser community. - JimX

I don't know your background, but the reading never helped me. I thought I understood, but when I tried to do something, it didn't work the way I thought it should. What I have found most helpful is to get a picture in your mind that you want to create and try to create it. When you run into the inevitable problem, try the tutorials here. There is a lot of good data in the tutorials. You can also try other sites. Poserarcana.com has some good tutorials as well. When you absolutely hit the wall and are about to tear your hair out, this forum is the best place on Earth. I know. Saved my ass more than once, I must say.

As for offline reading, 3d Artist magazine has some great Poser articles, usually on things like lighting, framing your shots, etc. It's well worth the subscription (which is cheap anyway) because it's not a lot of fluff but solid info and how-to.

I been messing around with poser and finding not as easy i would have hoped. I was wondering if anyone knew of some good reading or Tutorials for a newbie, i looked in the Tutorials section here but not sure where to start any suggesttions would be great. thanks
