World Builder is a fine program. It has some wonderful features I wish were included in Vue. However, it has a fairly steep learning curve, and it's rendering engine is not nearly as good as Vue's. Also it has an over reliance on 2D billboard trees and plants. Vue, on the other hand, is easy to learn, has a full compliment of 3d vegetation, and has a fast, raytraced render engine that supports true reflection, soft shadows, blurring and volumetrics. Also, you can't beat the price... -SMT
I'd rather stay in my lane than lay in my stain!
go in the VUE D'ESPRIT FORUM ANNEX, "comparing VUE & other programs" : http://www.renderosity.com/~vue/compare.html You'll find there some informations. But you should really try the demos and decide by yourself. You can also compare the 2 programs by looking at the work of others in the galleries (there are some really good renderings in VUE's gallery !). Eric
Hi gg77! Like everyone has already said - both ARE great programs. It really depends upon what you are intending to use them for. Where I work, we use both. Vue4 is VERY easy to learn compared to WB3 - but overall there is less control than with WB3. With WB3 you have a great many parameters that you are able to change - much more so than with Vue4. Still, if you want to create beautiful images right out-of-the-box, you simply can't beat Vue4! I like them both - each is great for different tasks. Good Luck!

Because every 3D program is a major investment in time, could I have some opinions on whether investing in World Builder is worth it versus Vue d'Esprit? All opinions are appreciated. Thanks.
