Say goodbye to work-a-day Pose Library drudgery! PoserBooost acts a layer between Poser's library browser and your actual files allowing you to swap between banks of library folders effortlessly. The application allows the artist total freedom to organise the banks and folders to suit their own working preferences and can lead to a serious increase in productivity! This is a still from the tutorial I am working on while my co-programmer adds system-tray functionality to PoserBooost. It's steaming ahead and I expect release to be on target. Stay cool in the meantime!! Howie:)

Does this mean that we might be able to move library files to another drive or CD instead of being stuck with everything being on the same drive as the program?

Boy, I can't wait for this to come out!!!! It is soooo needed!!!

In a world filled with causes for worry and anxiety...
we need the peace of God standing guard over our hearts and minds.

Dave... That could be possible, although I'm not sure if it's necessary for all users. Do you mean that you've got too much stuff to fit on your Poser drive? The point is that all the files CAN be kept in the Libraries folders but Poser is restricted to bite-size user-specified chunks at a time so it doesn't get choked on oversized folders. This will allow many people to move backed-up folders BACK onto their Poser drives so they can all be accessed! But I do intend to add an Import/Export function to allow archiveing and backing up of banks elsewhere... ... which is, I think, what you want!

Yeah, basically. The drive where Poser is, is getting maxed out and it's mainly due to Cr2 and OBJ files. If I move the cr2's, Poser has no idea where to look for them. I'd like to be able to move them off my hard drive but still have access to them when needed without having to reload them onto the drive. Is this possible?

Wow this is great..I've a whole folder of stuff i use rarely but would still like access to without having to go into Explorer and move stuff around! This is a really great product...what's the price range?

Dave... Hmmm... Unfortunately not. Hope I didn't create any false expectations in my previous post! The only way I can see to make Poser look in locations other than its installed path for library files is to hack the .exe which I am NOT about to do!! You can move banks in and out with import/export, but if you're running out of space it might be time for that 160GB drive you've been drooling over. LOL! Many people nmow have a specific drive for Poser alone and I think this is probably the best way to go. In the mean time, PoserBooost will ease the moving of folders in and out of the Poser Libraries and when ytopu have enough space, you'll be laughing!. Hope this helps! Howie:)

SkyeWolf... I'm thinking in the $15-20 range at the moment... ...Of course... If people keep on suggesting all these extra functions!... LOL! Howie:)

Hi, Ron... OK. I've made a brief tutorial which is as yet not on public release as there will be additions. It should explain a few things. I'll IM you the link. Any further questions, please ask me and I'll be pleased to enlighten! Except... I'm going away for Easter and will be back on Monday evening (UK that's mid afternoon in the states). I threatened to take the lap-top but my partner told me she'd throw it in the river! As soon as I get back I'll jump straight to this thread! Howard:)

This is great! and just what I need, now I can create banks of pose libraries for specific figures. mike, vic, p4 and swap them out as needed... what is a pain in even if poser doesnt choke on the huge number of directories, it is a pain to scroll though to get what you want.. Darrin

Phew. I'm back. And knackered. So much for "late afternoon" thanks to the Bank-Holiday traffic on the A303! Darrin... yep that's what it does. It works in real time, too, so you can switch from "Mike" to "Vic" with Poser running etc... You set up the banks however you want them and PoserBooost keeps everything in order. And to bed. ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzz........
