My main occupation is Architectural Visualization we take blueprints and turn them into 3D representations in the computer. Well, thats what I do full time. My aspirations outside of that are significantly more ambitious.

A very small group of us are planning on creating an animated feature. We have a number of items available to us already but our characters are something that we need that must be high quality. We want to use Poser-ready characters for a number of reasons. Regarding these Poser characters they MUST be able to work with Poser, i.e. we must be able to use the Poser dials to create any expression. Many of the characters expressions will at first be modeled in Poser initially and then later transferred to Lightwave. Unless they are optimized for Poser, we cannot use them at this time.

After perusing through the Free Stuff and Merchant sections here at Renderosity, we know that a large number of talented artists here have created incredible pieces that would be perfect for our needs. Our problem is that we just dont have enough time (between our regular work schedule and our projects) to check out every item available. Hence, we have decided to go directly to you who know your stuff the best, the artists! If you think you have (or know where we can find) what we need, please post here to help us. The textures for the characters must be VERY high quality and judging from what weve seen that is the standard.

Security Guard Caucasian Male; age 55; fit and trim
Technician Caucasian Male; age 45; average build
Project Specialist Indian (from India) Male; age 50; average build
And a dozen other assorted extras

Wardrobe:

Assorted clothing for the teenagers, ie. Sneakers, jeans, shorts, shirts, baseball caps(?) etc. a larger selection here is better than very little.
Bathing suits for the teenagers (no very skimpy bikinis please)

Standard white lab coats for the adults as well as what would be worn underneath dress blouses, dress shirts, ties, dress slacks etc. Dress shoes and no high heels. Watches, rings, earrings

Standard clothing for the adults as well jeans, shirts, t-shirts, sneakers. Etc.

We are currently in the pre-planning stages of creation and any feedback such as Well wouldnt you need to have _______ if you wanted to do this? will almost always be helpful. As I mentioned above, these items do not have to be free. If the items meet our needs we will be more than happy to shell out the cash. Of course items from the Free Stuff are also more than welcome! :) We currently do not have any of the DAZ products such as Victoria or Michael, but are not averse to purchasing those if required. If you are a vendor and feel that you product meets our needs or even just someone who has seen something that you feel we could use, please post the url to the product and well check it out right away.

I don't know... maybe it's just me... but your requests all seem very specific and each will probably require some work on the part of each artist to tailor their current work to meet your exacting specifications. The artists with hot-selling items are probably too busy to pay attention to your specific requests, as well. They are probably working on their next item. And I haven't seen a lot of work with teenagers/preteens here. Those are separate items from the adult models from DAZ and cost the artist extra. (I don't know anyone other than DAZ that provide teen/preteen basic models.) What seems to motivate people here is some kind of contest with a prize that they find valuable. You might want to correspond with the site staff through the Community Ideas forum (listed under Admin Forums on the right-hand panel). You give people the right motivation and you may have more stuff than you can handle! Good luck!

All the teenagers you describe could probably be made with one package: caleb68's Mill Teen. It's a girl package but it wouldn't take much to make them boys. And it's on sale right now. As far as hair and clothes go, there's so much out there it'd be impossible for me to recommend any one package. Same with adult characters.

Sounds like you need to get a poser character maker/modeler/texturer on staff. I don't think there's really anything 'out of the box' that will do for you guys. Lyrra

If you are looking for the ability to do facial expressios you really need to get Mike2, Vicky2 and Stephanie at the very least. Will you be paying the artists for commercial use? It seems you are not a regular here or you would already have an idea of which artists have the look you are going for. The pleasure of being a part of your project, I don't believe is motivation enough to get people jumping here. Maybe I am wrong, but I would skim the textures in The Marketplace and freebies and try direct contact with artists whose work fits your vision.
