Subject: Help Anton Ponytail problem.

starmkr ( ) posted Sun, 31 March 2002 at 2:23 PM · edited Sun, 04 August 2024 at 5:56 AM

I have the Anton Daz3d package when I try to use the poses that are preset it the hair looks like it went through a blow dryer from hell...I have been trying to get the bob cuts to work...but all I get is stringy long hair. Is there a problem with this package under Poser Pro or is it me not knowing how to run the program? The poses mat on other hair products I have bought are easy to use. I have all 3 products on this hair product.

I have Vickys Changing Ponytail too, have XP and the ProPack and it works fine. What exactly is your problem? With the expansion pack you got Posefiles - aren't they working? Try to select the base or the body of the hair first and then apply the poses - this should work. If you like to change the hair manually you have to select a bodypart: bangs, base or ponytail and you will see different dials. On the bangs and ponytail you find the dials Change bangs / Change Ponytail - when you set the dials to 1, 2 etc. you will see that the parts are changing. Now you can try the other dials that belong to this parts too. Hope that helps :-) Friederike

First, are you sure it is my product. There are no "stringy" styles or elements in the Ponytail Collection. It is all thick, dense hair. Your discription is odd for sure. Post a pic. Most likely it is a very simple problem, since nnone else has had any problem with the poses. You can post the troubled render here or email me and we will figure out what you might be doing wrong. Even if it isn't my hair, I wouldn't worry. These things are always something simple but overlooked. Anton Kisiel antonk68@aol.com

Is it possible that you are using the expansion pack poses on the base hair and not the expansion pack? you get a few odd styles when that happens, I know I kept doing that at first blush Do post a pc of it - because there really isn't any stringy hair - unless you mean the strands around the bangs...

Here is a simple test render picking Vic2 , putting hair on head..and picking "Action Bob Blow R. I was hoping it would look like the photo. Also the hair doesn't seem to hit the right spot on the head when I load it in...any help there too would be great.

you are using the wrong ponytail hair there... you need to use the expansion pack hair figure on the bottom labeled VCPC EXP See this image is with the original ponytail and the blow bob

The figtoria and Stephanie figures also do not load in at zero. -Turn off herIK chains for the legs. -Open "Joint Editor" and click 'zero" -Select Vicki's hip and body and zero the tran dials manually. -Now Victoria is at zero. Yo9u might want to save her this way or save her with the hair attached.

The first one is picking the VCPC Exp. from Figure menu.. Second one is render with Action Bob Blow R. Something is not working. I don't think that the Hair is correct from the first position.

Your Vicki is not at zero as I mentioned above. Select her body and hip and turn the tran dials to zero.

The Hair worked when I did the Zero in on the body. It also changed alittle when I went back to default screen size.

3-DArena ( ) posted Mon, 01 April 2002 at 8:53 PM

also after you get the hair where you want it, check on the body of the hair and change the parent to vicky (or stephanie or even michael's) head. Then lock the body. The poses will still apply and you will still be able to adjust the rest of the hair, but it won't move on you.
