Since I bought this camera, seems my whole mindset and perception has changed. I was always observant...noticed those little things that no one else seemed to. Now its more amplified I guess...taking pictures has opened up my eyes even more! Y'know it's funny I use CD's on a day basis. Never gave them much thought as a photo subject. The sunlight was hitting them in such a way that this literally caught my eye. (almost blinded me) The colors were just so amazing...I grabbed the camera and here ya go! Oh and here's a tip...don't throw them there bad CDs away...use them as drink coasters to protect your furniture (My good deed for the day) L8r!

Good shot...... Funny thing is almost all CD's will be "coasters" after about 10 years. They really need to work on an archival medium... but that is beside the point.

Great colours, nic shot! Your insight on how photography helps us "see" things differently is so true! I feel all visual artists would benefit from being behind a viewfinder for a while...and of course that works the other way too. :-)>

Want another use for them? Dip them in really hot water for a little while, take them out when they're floppy and 'fold' the edges up - make little holders for desk stuff etc - mind, that hole in the middle may be a problem.... (",)

CDs are beautiful when the sun is shining on them. Saw somewhere this mobile.A little to big to hang in your window, but a cool idea.

Wow, gunsan! I've seen lots of mobiles and other dangly
things made with old CD's, but that one is quite original!
It looks almost like a mathmatical visualization of some
sort. Very nice!
