Subject: Non spherical magnet zones

I've always felt that it would be good to have more than just a spherical Magnet Zone so I thought I'd try editing a PZ3 file to see if I could get others. I loaded a cube prop, added a magnet and saved the scene. Closed Poser then hand edited the PZ3. Where ever I found "ball" or "sphere" I changed it to "cone". The relevant lines now look like this:-

sphereZoneProp Mag Zone 1
{
storageOffset 0 0.3487 0
objFileGeom 0 0 :Runtime:geometries:props:cone.obj
}

sphereZoneProp Mag Zone 1
}
buildCone
}

Now I'm sure I have not got everything right but initial tests look promising. I do have the PZ3 if you want me to email it you but be warned I have had Poser lock up and force a hard reboot on me so try it at your own risk.

Are you Beta Testing P5?

Could this be used on other "shapes", perhaps "morphed" cones. speres, etc? This sounds like a really great, new technique Phil! Jim Moore

How about a screen-shot of what you get after clicking the "Cloth Motion" tab? Maybe April F. can help you come up with something interesting for us ;-)

I'll second that. Would love to see what's behind that "Cloth Motion" tab!!!
