I'm currently writing a new program. It can be used for a lot of things...but, its primary function is to unzip multiple zip files at once. With its default settings, it looks in the immediate folder it is in for all zips within that folder. These are displayed in checkboxes that can be selected/deselected to allow for quick installation of a lot of various zips at once. Some uses: It could be put on a backup cd that contains multiple zip files to quickly unzip all of those zips. It could be put in a download folder to quickly unzip multiple files downloaded off of the internet and (this is what Im using it for) it could be added to a cd that is for sale to give multiple installation options of characters/sets/props to the user. For instance, I have 86 characters..amounts to ~500 mb of models/textures and such. Eventually, there will be another cd that has all of them on it. If a person doesnt have 500 mb of free space on their poser drive, they can choose which ones to install instead of installing all 86 figures with props. Another "up" side to this program is that it doesnt leave out mac users because the zips are on the disk and they can convert them..if it was all just a setup.exe file, itd leave the mac user out cause they couldnt get to the files to convert them. The program has a text file that dictates a lot of things..for instance, you can change the background color, the words displayed, the icon displayed, the text color, the default directory for the program to look in..and more. All by just editing that text file. This makes it perfect for cds (either recovery or for sale). There are two versions..a lite version that does the things above and a pro version that will allow this stuff done directly from within the program..as well as being able to browse to a new directory to find zips. the lite version will be free and freely distributable and will be a great way to recover zipped up poser stuff (and other things). the pro version will prob only be about 5 bux...and will generate the lite version that can be included on cds and such. its all part of the model packager program that Ive been writing for ..well forever..and this little tidbit is just an additional thing that will make it easier for everyone to get things installed quickly. :P BT

glad to see you're still going on this project :) btw, does this assume the person who zipped their package used the correct poser directory structure or does it somehow know where to place stuff? eg if it found a cr2 with jpgs in the same directory (cos it was zipped flat, no directories at all?), does it inspect the cr2 and place the jpgs in the correct directories? i'd love to beta test it for you but i can't commit on time i know this should take, so will have to let it pass.

lol this doesnt do that april...It could in a few moments (if I were so inclined), but I think there's a program that already does that isnt there? (someone know what its name is?) btw, it wont take long to test this..actually should only be a matter of opening it..browsing to a folder with zips and unzipping a few using the various options. (overwrite prompt, use directory..etc) and then we'd just need to be sure that it actually doesnt unzip something when you tell it to skip a file. I think it works fine, but its best to have multiple hands a hold of something before springing it on an unsuspecting group :) if you're interested let me know BT

Count with me. It is a good idea. Also, you should be able to decompress many zip, arj, ace files to other directories. Should be able to remember last directories, example let uncompress at past directories. For poser, should be able to search Poser 4 by itself and be smart enough to uncompress Poser props, hair, lights and so on. Hoping not asking to much... just a recom.
