Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2025 Jan 24 12:37 pm)
Ahh that sucks!! :-(
that mag did have alot of poser coverage
wouldnt it be nice to have an all poser publication
some day called "Runtime" or something
Oh well a guy can dream cant he..
Damn it, that was the only mag I've found that really deals with the stuff I'm into. Computer Arts and all of those other brit mags talk way too much about web-oriented stuff to be of much interest to me, other than for the software freebies. And to think I almost subscribed to 3D Artist a couple days ago (or at least I was planning to...), but signed up for the R'osity mag instead, since I couldn't buy that at Barnes and Noble! And I thought only getting it five times a year sucked, but NO times a year... sigh

It does say at the site you can get a refund. Quote 'Issue #47 is 3D Artist magazine's final issue Subscribers can resolve their remaining subscriptions several ways including refund.'+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

If anyone sees a mind wandering aimlessly around..... It is mine.
I want it back.
The last one I bought, a few months ago, had become so thin it was hardly worth the price. I think it only had about 20 pages in it, and about 90% of it was ads. I'm sorry to hear this news, though. 3D Artist was the first 3D magazine I had discovered and the store I bought it at had scads of back issues, so I bought everything I could get my hands on. It was a very good publication. I had seen it getting skimpier lately, though, and I didn't buy the last few issues because I didn't find anything useful in them. I guess all good things must eventually come to an end. Melanie
Well this will be a loss. 3DArists was the first 3D magazine I bought and for a while I had a subscription from the. But even when I let it lapsed I never missed buying any. But I understand how hard it can be for a 3D magazine to survive. So maybe one another one can come along soon. What I am really disappointed in is that it was my goal to publish an article in 3DArtist someday. I was even working on something I think I could have submitted after a while when I was done with it. Oh well
Mike, there are quite a few 3D magazines on the stands that are excellent. 3D World is a good example, and these include a companion CD with demos and goodies, and sometimes even a full program. I agree that 3D Artist was a great magazine. It was the first one I discovered, too. I'll sure miss it. Melanie

I just got my subscription issue #47 of 3D Artist Magazine - one of my favorite mainstream 3D mags. A yellow insert informed me, and the editorial inside confirms, due to declining ad revenue, it's the final issue. It's a real loss in my opinion, because it's one of the few such magazines to feature regular, useful coverage of Poser as well as other software used by many of our members in association with Poser (Vue, Bryce, Carrara, ZBrush, Mojoworld, Animation Master, as well as the "mainstream" apps like 3DStudio, Autocad, Lightwave, & Maya). Bummer! - I really enjoyed every issue! I'm only glad our own Renderosity Mag is already out to "cushion the blow" - :-) - All the more reason to get it onto the Magazine Racks. G
