Ok here's a different variation, and I'm done....I'm not completely happy with this, but I get bored with stuff quickly sometimes and I've pretty much had it with this. Pretty much the same elements as before, got rid of the column and added the gravestone. Different color to this as well....trash bin material or keep it? At least it hasn't been a complete waste of my time....I learned a little bit more about masks in Photoshop which have always confused me, unlike PSP where it's pretty straight forward.

Don't trash it, it's good. Really nice colours, some great textures. I know it depends a lot on what your expectations for an image are but I think you've done some good work here.

ya, keepit. if u want to try something then (IMO) cut out (some of) the overlaying pattern(s) from where the figure takes place (maybe not complete or maybe just alter them there)...

Michelle, being out for a while I never saw any other version, but I think this is some really nice work. The textures are killer!

seriously though, don't trash. Its pretty cool Michelle, and even though you say its done, you know that's a lie. Like 6 months from now Mitch, you know yer gonna stumble on it again, open it up and think, "Well why the F$%K didn't I think if trying that before?!!!?"

It's really hard for me to understand the concept here, but when it comes to the techniques, esp. the textures, colors and blending looks so fine... :)

I think that is part of the problem....I think I've lost sight of what it is I want this to say Doruk....I think I'll keep it.....like Slynky says you never know when I might come back to it. Thanks for the comments everyone. :~)
