the site looks like a lot of fun :) i do however wish i could view it correctly... however some scripting errors on the 3rd page in (starting at the link above) prohibit me from viewing something correctly, although i am not quite sure what it might be :) - didnt spend a lot of time checking to see what it was.. errors tend to toss me right away from a site. being a web developer myself, i find your site definately interesting.. pretty awesome idea & well thought out.. however, ya really need to test ur scripting with all browsers. this doesnt necessarilly mean installing all browsers on your pc either. i run ie 5.5 (i wont make the jump to 6 simply because of the lack of java support that microshaft thought was a good idea). couple links.. http://websitegarage.netscape.com/O=wsg/tuneup_plus/index.html and one of choice - http://validator.w3.org/ it appears that you develop in the netscape thingy.. and that could seriously be one of the problems. there is an awesome free utility at http://www.evrsoft.com called "first page 2000". they dont have a wsiwyg editor, but it does a good job of finding errors and possibly how to fix them. dreamweaver is obvously my editor of choice, but the cost may be out of range, and thats understood :) please dont take this as negative critism, just as constructive... just a helpful tip from someone that knows when a scripting error is a bad thing... (and that would be always :) cheers man.. & keep up the good work :)

Thank you for letting me know about the scripting and I have not taken anything as negative :). All work in both IE and NS. I DID make sure of that. I have both IE and NS v6. The only script that does not work as it should (and this is for v6 browsers only) is the link message script. This should not in any way prevent the site from working as it only will not show link messages in the status bar. I had 10 different people, all chosen because of their use of IE 4 to 6 and NS 4 to 6 and with either cable or dial-up modems and none of them reported an error of any kind. I am the one who discovered the link message script didn't work. I designed the layout of the site in NS Composer because of its strictness to WWW Consortium HTML standards then took them into CuteHTML to clean it all up. Everything is just basic html except for 3 scripts: Pop-up window, mouseovers and link message :) I used evrsofts 1st page2000 a couple of years ago but because is bases its html on microsofts, I wasn't getting what I wanted. Yes. I am a NS user and will always be as I see no need to make sites IE only. I also used Dreamweaver but wasn't satisfied with the results and decided that my simplistic use of html didn't warrent justification of spending that much money :). I hope you don't mind until I receive more reports of errors on that page before I do anything about it. As I said, I haven't had any problems and no one else has reported them either. I only finished uploading a matter of minutes before I started this tread so maybe the error is "new home/location" type of error ;) Thank you for letting me know though and pleased you like it :)

yep :) thats what it was (after further investigation).. the status scroller.. :p maybe ie5.5 is pickier in win2k than in other os's :) anyhoo.. glad ya didnt take the comments as negative.. i still love the idea of the site :)

Might be But the link message is not a status scroller. It is a static message that appears only when you mouse over a link and will disappear again. Oh no, I never take comments as negative. This new look to my site was a VERY big learning curve for me so I know there can be improvements and I can only get the suggestions from other people :) Thank you very much :)

Something else to keep in mind is that IE 6 is still PAINFULLY buggy. Grr. It has real problems with reading HTML font justification, especially when tables are used. Bella, you might get some errors reported that aren't errors on your part ("Ah, it's a FEATURE!" Grrr), but on the part of IE bugs.

aol doesn't like the site (I get many boxes with little red x's, and right clicking method doesn't work)

Wow. I wonder why my testers never told me of these things. I don't have justification in my site. That is a css feature and I don't incorporate it into my site because I started building this new look with v4 browser last year and my v4 browser couldn't handle it. I know what you mean about IE 6. I had a terrible time with it on my last computer. It stuffed to whole internet viewing completely. I do have it with my new machine but it came with XP. I don't use it unless I really have to and that is rare anyway. Sorry aol doesn't like my site shadowcat :(. Nothing much I can do about that one unfortunately.

no biggie really, all I have to do is open a IE window and run it there. Just giving you the info.
