Subject: Bryce 5 upgrade - which platform is it ok for??

Kingfisher ( ) posted Thu, 11 April 2002 at 3:36 AM · edited Fri, 02 August 2024 at 1:01 PM

Im looking to upgrade from Bryce 3D to 5. Ive been to the Dabs site & for the min requirements it states win. NT now Im using win 98SE & according to the Corel site it supports win 98.Are there different CDs for different platforms? I emailed Dabs to clarify this & their response was that they do do support this type of enquiry anymore. I visited Corels site with the intention of sending them an email. That proved impossible as well. Went round & round in circles on their contact us pages.Couldn`t see how I contact them for such a simple enquiry. Now I would have thought that there was one disc that covered all platforms. win 98 etc & NT. What are the experiences out there? Thanks in anticipation

There might be different boxed disks for either Windows vs. Macintosh...might, I am not sure of this. It may install to either Windows OS's AND Mac OS's from the same disk, I don't know. But, I DO know that if you buy Bryce 5 for Windows it WILL cover Windows 98, 98SE, Windows 2000, Windows NT (Service Pack 6 or higher) or Windows ME all on one disk. And, most likely anything else higher (Win XP). E-mail Corel at custserv@corel.com Or call: Corel Customer Service (North America Only): 1-800-772-6735; hours of operation are 9:00 a.m. 7:30 p.m. Eastern Standard Time (EST), Monday through Friday, and from 10:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m. EST on Saturday

I'm running Bryce 5 on 98se right now with no trouble. Also, both Mac and Win versions come on the same disk.

Dowt, forgot to put that up too, Kingfisher, I have win98SE and used the B5 Demo, no problem. And thank you Enforcer, I myself had always wondered about that...good to know.
