Not having seen the P3 book I say there is a lot of the same content. Just glancing through it quickly it feels padded. For example there are some useful charts and details on how to pose animals, then page after page of REALLY deformed critters with no explanation of how (or why for that matter). Do I really need to know what happens when I set the left eyebrow dial to 1000? If you are a newbie (or a midlevel newbie for that matter) I think you will find it all useful as it seem to want to inspire you to create rather than to slavishly follow an endless tutorial. The section on cameras and light is practally non-existant Too bad. Haven't looked at the CD yet but it is loaded with all the utilities we all already have. The section written by "Poser Masters" is a fun read esp the one written by the Zygote team. Overall score - C+ (ohmygawd a gentleman's C) ie its probably worth having but only if you can't think of something better (meshes) to spend your money on. A good thing to buy at a convention. jje
