Try the demo of Illusion, it's a little bit more expensive but then again it can do a lot more than just explosions.

What's the best way to make them, considering I can't afford the Artbeats libraries, and I only have Poser 4, Bryce 5, and Photoshop 6. Any way I can make my my own using those programs? Are there any good low-cost fx out there that can be used in either Poser or Bryce, or composited in my video editor? Thanks!
