I would like to know how and what to use to convert a 3ds file or similar to Bryce 5.0 any help would be greatly appreciated.

You don't need to convert .3ds to anything Bryce imports them just fine. If you're talking about .obp format then the Create dialog is what you want, the manual will tell ya how to get there and how to use it.

All the formats listed below can be imported into Bryce by going to File/Import Object on the toolbar. Are you sure it's not a 3D Studio Max file.

I run all my PC 3ds files through MacConverter before I import them. Otherwise I find that the textures don't import pre-applied.
