I was just wondering how strong your computers are. I'm using a PII 350 MHZ with 256 ram.

(looks like litst got a new machine!) I use a PowerBookG3 (Pismo) 400mgz with 512 ram, ATIRageProII video. The LCD built in screen is OK for modeling but I hook up a CRT for color-criticle stuff.

I use an PowerMac G4 Dual 450 with 1GB RAM, ATI Rage128 Pro (Yuck), Apple Studio Display 17" Running Mac OSX 10.1.3 and OS 9.2.2. I also use a P3-800 with 384MB Ram and a GeForce 4 Titanium with 128MB RAM. Here's hoping that Carrara Version 2 supports Network Rendering. Paul

Er...Power Mac 8500 upgraded to 500mhz G3, 280MB RAM, with ATI Radeon card 17" Monitor, and OS 9.0.4 call me old-fashioned :P

im using an old microwave oven chip 80x167 8mhz on a homemade motherboard with over 50 kb memory !! the hard part was converting the old electric typwriter into a keyboard and my 9 inch rond screen rca victor tv set into a monitor. amazingly it runs xp just fine(good memory compression alogs i guess) its got one of them new fangled 4 trak "cd" tape drives in it so i can download data. -i'll have to upgrade soon though. got an outta memory message the other day. oh wait a minute ... what year is it? i'm HOW old? my how time flies. o.k. BYE

Production box is a Dual Supermicro PIII 700 1024mb ram, Matrox G400,3 80GB Maxtor HD, 2 40GB Ext FireWire Maxtor. QUI! DVD burner (( Compaq 1020 DTL Tap Backup on post box)) When you lose a years worth of work in just a click of the mouse you learn fast to back things up and keep email off of you production box :(
