Sorry I have been gone for a while but I have been busy. I saw that the contest is leading lines so I thought I would post these and see what you think. In my defense the first one was the first time I had ever used a tripod. It is a 16 second exposer at F/10.

The second one is of the Suvivor's Tree at the Oklahoma city National Memorial on a very cold day. I got about 60 shots in around 10 minutes. I had to stop when I couldn't feel my hands anymore and therefore couldn't press the shutter.

I like the second image the best, the way the smaller trees march my eye towards the bigger one. Be careful you don't get frostbite on shoots like these! I like the shadow of the wrought iron in the first...weird, I just posted a night shot too. Synchronicities abound for me today!

I like the second shot myself....still trying to figure out what the glowing thingies are in the first pic! Nice work Aldoron!

I am, therefore I create.......

I really like the effect of light & shadow in the first one, very cool image, but I can't figure out the thingy either! It doesn't really seem to sit in the image, somehow it floats... The second is quite surreal, again a really nice image , the only problem I have with this one is the curved line of the wall seems to stop my eye. I don't know but it might work better with softer edges... Nice work ; )

I have never like the first picture myself. The only reason I posted it was because I thought it was a good example of leading lines. Here is the second one but without any editing.

I like the second best! I too see the curved wall first. BUT then I look again the see the trees. Are the trees really planted this way? Bsteph

I agree, tha second one is really nice. And that church tower is nice detail. .n

Number two is outstanding. The simple clean lines of the
buildings and the texture of the lawn make me think of old
flight simulator landscapes. The angle of the small
foreground trees as they recede across the frame, and the
similarity of their shape add a truly surreal flavor to the
image.

Very good work.
