Subject: good old exporting problems again

i'm starting to experiment with modelling in lightwave, but i'm still using bryce to add some simple primitives in and 'compile' the whole thing since i don't know how to do that in lightwave the last thing i did was a missile, where i made the rounded head and flaps in lightwave, then added a cylinder in bryce for the shaft but it won't let me export it into anything other than *.obp i like my models and stuff to be useable in other programs as well, so this really sucks is there any solution? (other than raking the net to find tutorials and master lightwave :p) any help is appreciated, thanks :)

You can't export primitives from Bryce. Exports are confined to lattices, terrains and stones only. You're right. It sucks.

You have those primitives in LightWave. Ron

Not to cut Bryce, but my motto is: Why model in Bryce what can be made better in an app more suited to modeling.

The lightwave modeler is fairly easy to use, besides once you get use to LW you won't bother with Bryce any more (except for the occasional terrain)

problem is though, i don't know how to use lightwave all i can make is lathed pots and sticks and maybe a bit of bevelling that's about it and school doesn't allow much time to learn a lot more either in the future though, i'll find my way into it ;) thanks for all your responses people
