Ok, here's what I've got so far. I'm thinking to move the castle to the top of the mountain, though, since it blends with the rock here. As for lightning, well, everything I tried looked really fake and ruined the effect more than it helped. Thanks, Roshigoth

The mountains don't look too real and, still, some windows with lights inside will make it better. I like the idea of putting the castle on top of the mountain because it does blend with the mountain a lot. Darker clouds with darker hase may give the image more of a gloomy look (which I think you are going for). But over all, much better than the original =) -Adam

I'll see what I can do about the windows, but I seriously doubt it. Most likely that'll require editing the model itself.. If I can do it without remaking the castle in 3ds, I will. Otherwise, it's not likely to happen. I probably will darken the haze, though not too much, as the darker the haze and clouds are, the less visible the castle is.. As for lightning, I tried fasttraxx's 3d lightning... They didn't look right in the picture. Thanks for the suggestions Adam, Roshigoth

Hey man, it looks really good. One think is that you may want to is add a lighting source because the castle blends in to well with the side of the mountain. On the other hand, no one siad that the lighting source had to be from the inside. Maybe a couple of lams on the outside or something. BTW how did the lightning pan out. Keep working at it Tempest

Lightning didn't pan out. I wasn't wild about Fasttraxx's lightning, and I don't feel like doing postwork. But from what I've gotten done so far, I don't think it needs lightning. I did get windows and internal lighting, so I think it looks pretty good. Check for my next post, pt. 3, where I'll have the updated castle. Thanks everyone! Roshigoth

dont feel bad, Im dont like that lightening either:) Ive tried using it in several images, they all sucked. Your castle though is looking good, maybe move the castle to the top of the center mountain in the background, the top looks about flat enough. FastTraxx
